Lets have a look at Quilted Fabric which is made of two fabrics that are stitched together to create a puffy unit and contain a filling. The fabric should be tightly woven for insulative benefits and to prevent any filler from penetrating the outer material. This with fewer quilt lines will offer higher insulation, all other things being equal, because there is less insulation at the lines. Quilted Fabric is now available in a few ranges like Check Quilted Fabric, and Printed Quilted Fabric. Additionally, the insulation tends to shift away from the quilt lines, limiting the amount of insulation there is.
